Equine Senior
Purina's Equine Senior was
formulated to provide owners
with a complete feed that
furnishes optimum nutrition for
the older horse's less efficient
metabolic systems, to insure a
lengthy and contented life. The
feed, which was developed at
Purina's Research Center, is
made up of pre-processed alfalfa
and grain products that are high
in nutrients and more easily
digested by older horses than
whole grain feeds, loose hay or
pasture.

Equine Adult
Purina's Equine Adult is a
complete and easy way to feed
horses in their middle years,
that are active, not so active
or easy keepers. These are often
the most demanding years of a
horses life and maintaining
proper dietary balance can be
complicated and confusing for
owners. Recognizing this,
Purina's Research Center
developed Equine Adult to
provide a total nutritional
package of high-quality protein,
energy, vitamins and minerals
along with highly digestible
fiber.

Equine Junior
Purina's Equine Junior was
developed to eliminate the
guessing game of feeding a
growing foal. This feed ia a
"complete feed" which means it
can supply all the nutrients
your animal may need. Hay is not
necessary but can be used to
meet the nutritional needs of
weanlings to two year olds.

Center along with veterinarians
and horse professionals, Equine
Junior is a revolutionary new
feed that offers a new way to
feed foals. A way that you can

your young horse.

Energy demands in the equine
athlete are extremely high, so
the delivery of that energy
becomes paramount. This
additional digestible energy
must be provided in a manner
that maximizes athletic
performance. Ultium Competition
Horse Formula delivers a
concentrated amount of energy to
these hard working horses by
distributing this energy over
several different sources
(vegetable oils, beet pulp and a
proprietary mix of other
sources).

Purina Nature’s Essentials®
supplement line began with Mare
& MaintenanceTM and
Born to WinTM supplements. Two
great products for providing the
protein, vitamins and minerals
lacking in straight grain or all
forage diets. Many horse owners
have found these products to be
perfect for feeding easy
keepers, horses that maintain
body condition on hay or pasture
alone. These horses wouldn’t be
able to eat the recommended
amounts of completely fortified
diets like Omolene® or Strategy®
without gaining too much weight,
and would be short on nutrients
if they were fed only 1 – 2 lbs
of these products. Nature’s
Essentials Mare & MaintenanceTM
and Born to WinTM are also
useful for horses needing low
starch and sugar diets because
they contain no corn, are low in
starch and sugar and only need
to be fed at 1 – 2 lb feeding
rates for most horses. |
